When Does A Child Need Root Canal Therapy?
Root canal therapy is recommended if a child feels pain in the tooth, is sensitive to temperature, or is having a chipped or cracked tooth with an already exposed nerve. In all these cases, the nerve is damaged to such an extent that it becomes impossible to treat by means of medication or simple surface repair. Hence, we remove the infected nerve and place a crown over it. In this way, we make sure the tooth stays strong and fit until the permanent teeth come out.
